So I have this friend.....I have never met her in person but I feel like I "know" her. You know what I mean? Just one of those people that God has brought into your life and you feel like you can trust them and share life with them. This momma is a fellow adoptive mommy. She and I both adopted our oldest children from the same orphanage in Taiwan. She is a Christ follower, devoted wife, and awesome mom!
So I am featuring her here on my blog because she has an awesome business called Lil Bees. The stuff that she makes is amazing. I have purchased several things in eager anticipation of our next little one. She has this business for ONE reason.....adoption! She and her hubby are currently seeking out God's plan (country/time frame) for their family, but they are raising money through her little business to bring another precious baby into their forever home.
So YOU need to check her stuff out! And get this.....until tomorrow night you can get 20% off your entire order! Awesome! Her stuff is already super cheap...seriously....like half the price of Zulily and to top it off you get 20% off. Let's load her up! Let's keep her busy for weeks! Let's bring another baby HOME!!!
Maybe these pics will inspire you to visit her shop :)

Home Study
The house has been baby proofed, it has been cleaned from top to bottom, and all the necessary paperwork is in order. All this so that some person can come tell us we are acceptable people and have an acceptable home to raise a child.
At times Richard and I have almost thought this is such a comical step. Of course we get it.....they want to make sure we have money and can provide (emotionally, physically, spiritually) for a child.....it is just something that has to be done but it can still be quite comical. I mean come on....if they really want to see "how we live" they need to show up unexpected around 5:30 each day when my house is cluttered with toys and tents, the kitchen looks like something exploded in it, Richard is just getting home from work, and we are attempting to get out the door on our way to one of the many activites that our family enjoys. Yep....then they would see the "real" Jett household. But instead.....I dust things that havent been dusted since we moved into our house, I organize items that I have been hiding behind a closet door, and make sure that my house smells like homemade chocolate chip cookies. Yep....quite comical :)
But regardless...today is the day! We are so excited to be one step closer to bring home our baby girl!
Many of you have asked if we have heard anything else from St. Vincent. I promise that I will post as soon as things are a bit more legal :)

This Friday is the day we should hear something official! It seems like we have been waiting forever but we know that is how the "adoption world" works! Lots of "t's" to cross and "i's" to be dotted. Plus since our adoption country is rare and the process is rare we want to make sure things are moving in the right direction!
Our 1st homestudy visit will be next week! We aren't even nervous about it....guess we are old timers at this adoption thing :).
We are doing our first big fundraiser (the garage sale flopped but we are planning to try again). We will be having an adoption blog auction. I have gathered a few things but looking for so much more, so if you would like to donate something please let me know ASAP! We would like to raise $1,000 in this auction so that our paperwork can continued to be processed! The auction will be held the week of June 4th!! There will be more news about it next week so continue to check back here or on my Facebook page!
In the meantime please continue to pray for us! Things are moving quickly, we have financed that need to be gathered and a baby that needs to come home! (Lord Willing!!)
Much love to you all!!!

Guest Blogging....
I never intended for adoption to be our family’s story. It was something that my husband and I had talked about early on in our dating relationship but we would only do it “after we had our own biological children”. We wanted to adopt because we wanted to be a part of something bigger….something life changing.
Hop on over to In All You Do, where I'm guest posting today, to read the rest of our story!

I have been waiting for this day. The day that I could finally announce where Richard and I are going to be adopting our second child from. For as long as I can remember I thought this announcement would be Taiwan...but as I have stated in previous posts...that is not going to happen. But God is good and he has totally opened our hearts to a country that we never would have even considered adopting from before. We have become passionate about this country. I have researched this country until the wee hours of the morning trying to soak up and learn as much as I can about it. God has given us a peace that we have not felt in a long time. We are ready to see our daughters face....to know her....to love her....to bring her home.
The country that has captured our hearts is.........(drum roll please)...................
St. Vincent
We are probably the only people that you have ever heard of adopting from this beautiful country that is because international adoptions do not happen very often (only 9 children where adopted in 2010 and 12 in 2011). The two main reason for so few adoptions is because many children end up in foster care because they cannot find the biological father or mother to sign over adoption rights and because the country (island) only has a population of approx. 120,000 people.
St. Vincent is an island country in the Lesser Antilles chain, in the southern portion of the Windward Islands, which lie at the southern end of the eastern border of the Caribbean Sea. To the north of Saint Vincent lies Saint Lucia and to the east Barbados.
So your next question is....how did we end up choosing this country?
To be quite honest we almost feel like the country chose us....but that seems a bit corny...so I will give you a brief run down of how God intervened and led us to St. Vincent.
Almost a month and a half ago a dear friend, who (along with her family) is a missionary in St. Vincent, responded to an email that I had written her. The email had nothing to do with adoption. It was a "catch up email". But in her response to me she asked how our second adoption process was going and if we were ever interested she knew of a lady who had some connections to adoptions in St. Vincent. I responded back that we were still praying about what God wanted us to do but if she wanted to find out some info for me that would be great. Honestly at this point St. Vincent was the last place on my mind....I was still somewhat grieving over Taiwan....and trying to figure out how I could move on from a country that had my heart. I had sent out several emails to agencies and bloggers about different countries and their experiences. I was just trying to educate myself on as many places as possible. Finally after lots of discussion Richard and I narrowed it down to 5 different counties (St. Vincent being one of them). We didn't really feel a connection to any of the 5 places but we began to pray that God would open and close doors (and maybe give us that "connection" we were looking for). That is when God took over and all we could do was sit back and watch it happen. Slowly each of those doors began to close EXCEPT....yep...you guessed it....St. Vincent.
On April 18, I sent an email to our contact in St. Vincent. The next day I received a response that we would be good candidates to adopt from St. Vincent and that actually they had a little girl that had just been abandoned at the hospital. Now before you get your hopes up....God already had a perfect forever family for that girl...shortly after that email....the precious baby was placed with another family! God is good!! But along with the email that stated that the little girl had been placed was information about...........
You are all going to hate me but I can't say too much at this point until a few things are finalized....BUT I will tell you....GOD IS WORKING! He KNOWS!!! I will tell you this much....we are in the process....and prayerfully be introducing you all to our precious daughter soon!!
As far as finances go we are about $1500 short from what we need to get the ball rolling for this adoption. We attempted to have a garage sale fundraiser this past weekend that flopped. We only raised $193. We just had a lot of other area things working against us. We are going to try again in a few weeks and hopefully be able to make a little more. We are planning a Family Photo Session Day with an area photographer but that will not be until July. Please pray that God will provide for us! We TOTALLY trust in him.
Thank you for joining us on this journey!!! We are so blessed!!
Thank you for your continued prayers and we ask that you keep them coming!
Much Love,
Tiffany (Richard and Kyler too!)
